Robert Duncan Timber has always been a family concern. Founded in 1946 by the father of the current Chairman, expansion has brought the company from Newcastle to the present Gateshead site.

Within the five acre site is substantial covered storage for a large selection of Softwoods, Hardwoods and sheet materials. The mill is equipped with the most modern sawmill machinery, including four moulding machines, three band resaws and other small machinery necessary for precise and expert operation.

Recently completing a modernisation programme, the company has installed Rentokil Pressure tanks and equipment for timber priming.

We stock a comprehensive range of timbers, for all applications, from Carcassing Softwood, Joinery Fifths and Unsorted redwood...to Parana Pine and Cedar. (Clean Douglas Fir to order). Kiln dried Hardwoods are available from stock.
